Hauling out a load of cabbage. Haha! Here’s a couple real McCoy photo composite postcards that predate Photoshop for the Macintosh computer by decades! Created by Alfred Stanley Johnson Jr. of Johnson, Photography, Waupun, Wis. 1912
DILLY, WIS. WILL HELP FEED THE ARMY – LORD OF CABBAGE
DILLY, WIS. WILL HELP FEED THE ARMY – OUR BARN IS FULL
Perhaps these were intended to be mailed out but never made it to the post office. The return address is written and also some other specs in the address area. It seems these could have been reproduced in a local newspaper at 2 columns wide by 2 and a half inches deep at 75% tint at the top of page 17. In any case, I like the unique typography on the back which is different from all the others I’ve seen so far.
