Ironically, the language used on this postcard conforms to modern day IMing shorthand of using the letter U in the place of You.

Here’s a meticulously illustrated postcard. It’s funny how, at the time, a wireless was considered a telegraph. And, nowadays we have mobile devices with 3GS connectivity capable of sending text messages including photos and videos. It’s astounding how far we have come in 100 years. What hasn’t changed is the desire to stay in touch with our loved ones by sending simple messages.
